Coverage of Japan vs Belgium, Korea vs Poland, and China vs Brazil. This one has an interesting take on the Korean national team with Guus Hiddink giving comments about his team’s game. This also showed how China had lots of pressure on them by having lots of support from their native country in Korea to cheer for them even though the team was one of the weakest teams if not the weakest team in the tournament.

Anime has become a trend lately and fans around the world are searching every day for new methods to download anime videos free of charge. Naruto is without any doubt the top favourite movie and almost every single Anime network or website includes a special section for to download naruto videos.

That’s mainly because many websites promise something and offer exactly the opposite. That’s why it’s recommended that you start your own research and find the site that offers the best videos.
Naruto has a beautiful background and before downloading the anime videos you have to make sure that you know all the details about it. Uzumaki Naruto is a kid that has an inner demon of a nine-tailed fox. He attacked some villages until his inner deamon was sealed by the leader of the village through a ninja technique. That was the beginning of Naruto’s saga.
These websites allows you to download Naruto anime videos and also soundtracks, wallpapers and themes in exchange for a monthly fee of up to $30. Other sites charge only a lifetime membership fee while others are simply free.

Bonnaroo Arts and Music Festival takes place on a large farm in Manchester, Tennessee in June. It started in 2002 with a lineup of over 30 bands with over 4 stages, not to mention many vendors and other attractions. It has been appropriately compared to Woodstock.
This farm in Tennessee becomes its own little town. There are shops, food, a general store, ATMs, police, paramedics. Everything you would need for an entertaining four days is there for you. There is no reason to leave once you’ve entered, and who would want to?
The amount of music available to see live is awe-inspiring. Although a majority of the sets are taken up by popular jam bands, there truly is something for everybody. From music to comedy to art, there is no lack of things to check out in this mind bending little town.
The most amazing thing is the strong sense of community inside the gates. Everyone is there for the same reason, to unwind and hear some quality music. The campsites take up most of the land where strangers camp alongside each other. The sites are open and people flow in and out of them endlessly meeting, sharing and loving.
It is no surprise to see such a sense of brotherhood in a place like this. Music is a universal language shared by all. It has the power to unite people from all walks of life. If only we could get this kind of love, compassion and brotherhood to flow outside the gates we would be living in a much more peaceful world.
There is one Bonnaroo-goer that is trying to do just that. Through a book, fondly titled, “Ruth Montgomery Writes Again!”, we hope to not only unite the world under the pretext of awareness and relief but we intend to do everything in our power to make some change.
50% of the profits from the book will be donated to third-world charities and will serve as seed money to initiate an ongoing series of concerts to be known as The World Aid Concert Series or affectionately dubbed, The Big Gig.
Let the music live one, let the music unite us and let us do something powerful with our vast numbers! As Eddy Vedder from Pearl Jam said at Bonnaroo ‘08 during his amazing three hour set – all these people can make a difference!

There is no doubt that Naruto is one of the biggest anime that hit the US market today, but can Naruto be educational? From its origin from a more Eastern background, animation in general has come a long way since its first inception. Starting back in the old days with the original dragon ball series where it was first created all the way to Naruto today, there have definitely been a lot of changes that have been taken place in the animation world.
The population of kids attracted to Naruto is growing by the day and I believe there is a clear reason why it is the most popular anime or cartoon here in the US today besides its artistic values in comparison with numerous cartoons that are shown in our television screen on a day to day basis. Let’s take a look our cartoon Batman for example. The plot or a single episode usually involves with a villain shown in the story and causes trouble with a certain amount of people through their special techniques. However, their evil deeds are eventually squashed toward the end of the episode as Batman saves the day. In the cartoon itself, there’s nothing wrong with it. The good prevails over evil, and the single episode is ended with a happy ending.
What the problem with these cartoons however is that they are very interpersonal and kids and teens cannot relate themselves to them. Kids nowadays are more intrigued with interactions then ever before. This is shown through the popularity of the internet and social sites such as Myspace, Facebook, Blogger. They have grown tremendously due to its fundamental pitch to allow kids to relate and connect with each another.
What has made Naruto so powerful is as an anime is that they have developed their characters so well that their ability to relate to kids is tremendous. Similar to a soap opera, we are able to see each and every single character develop in their own way. We see that the animation characters often time interact with the kids through numerous contests and promotions related to interact with the kids. This type of close and very personalized interaction, you can think of it similar to the strategy that McDonald uses to make kids feel like at home. It is no wonder that kids love McDonalds and the same way goes with Naruto.
The adult humor aside, Naruto is also very educational in my opinion. The focal point of the animation itself remains between the fight of good and evil. However it becomes educational throughout various episodes when we are provided the background of various characters. For example when we examine the life of just the main character Naruto; not only is he a below average kid, he is always the underdog in terms of his studies beside the fact that he’s also unpopular with others. The crucial point that the animators have it a success is how Naruto reacts to these oppositions. He tries even harder! Similar in our society unlike the baby boomers who in majority have worked with the corporate world for many years and an overwhelmingly amount of them have pensions and benefits to assist them after retirement, the people from Generation X are faced with even greater challenges. Besides massive layoffs and work sent overseas, the problems just keep stacking up. Along with kids that grow up nowadays, the piles of stress have pushed them toward the edge in many ways. That’s why we see kids running into the malls and shooting others all the time in our news today.
Not only does Naruto try hard in his daily training to overcome others that are smarter or have talents, the greatest success that animators have by developing Naruto Episode is by depicting how normal he really is. It implies in many ways that hardships will always come in our way and hard work will always payoff in the end. This is something that is lacking in today’s society where the richer gets richer and the poorer gets poorer. Doesn’t matter if you’re poor or rich, one must always work hard to achieve success. Obviously a little bit of luck would always help too. This is one of the only small lessons that I’ve observed in the anime Naruto, if you haven’t watched Naruto yet, you should definitely eitherwatch Naruto by yourself or with others. Who knows, you might learn something from it as well!

Kit Heathcock asked:
Do you wish you had more time to read, keep up with the latest bestsellers or rediscover the classics? If your life goes by too fast for a relaxing read on the sofa, why not try an audio book? The latest MP3 technology has made the audio book more popular than ever with a vast number of titles available today, often with famous name actors reading them. You can listen to your audio book on long car drives or during your daily commute, on your iPod while out running or at the gym.
An audio book is exactly what it sounds like – a published book read aloud and recorded. It sticks to the text of the book, so you are hearing just what is printed in the original book. It can be read by one person, or by a variety of actors reading the dialogue of the different characters.
The latest Mp3 technology has freed up the world of audio books considerably. Whereas a book used to take up several cassettes or CDs, a long novel can now be compressed onto only a couple of CDs or into a manageable download.
You have two great, affordable options available to access a huge library of audio books online.
1. You can join on online audio book rental service that offers free shipping both ways and sends you the CDs of your choice to listen to.
2. You can buy your audio book as a direct download by joining an online book club.
Your choice will depend on your own listening preferences and maybe on where the title you want is most easily available. If you intend to listen to your audio book on your iPod or another MP3 player, then a direct download will be the fastest and most convenient option. Do check before joining a club that the audio downloads provided are compatible with your chosen listening device.
If you favor a CD format to listen at home through a good sound system, or in a car CD player then the CD rental option also offers a huge list of titles. The rental option can also be cost-effective for listeners who get through several audio books a month as they offer an unlimited number of rentals for your monthly fee.
Both these options offer 2 week trial periods at no charge so, if you are not sure which to go for, you can try each one out to see which works best for you.
Audio books can of course also be purchased off-line through book stores and are available in libraries.
Audio books are also great for children, who can listen to their favorite stories again and again and if you get them a copy of the book as well, they can follow the text as they listen, helping them with word recognition in a fun and relaxed way. This is also a great solution to the boredom of long car journeys for kids – a set of headphones and their favourite story on an audio book will save you a whole lot of “Are we nearly there yet?”s!

Patrick Omari asked:
Have you ever seen a local, unsigned band and thought to yourself, why aren’t these guys huge? Conversely have you ever heard a band on the radio and thought, these guys are terrible, I hear better than this at my local. All too often great musical talent goes unnoticed, and it isn’t down to a lack of good songs or live performances. The main thing holding back independent bands is a lack of good self promotion.
With the huge wealth of outlets for promoting your music online there really is no excuse for poor self promotion these days. The Internet has completely opened up underground music and made it much easier for bands to reach their audiences and build up a relationship with their fans. Through this article I will give you some useful tips for starting out when marketing your band online. I am in the process of starting up a new band myself, and this is what I’ll be doing once we get moving along.
The first thing you must do is without doubt the most difficult. Define your sound and write some killer songs and work on an amazing live show. Sounds hard right? Well it is. This is the stage that my band is at right now, we’re just writing a load of songs and trying to find the style that fits us best. Once we’ve written ninety minutes worth of material we’ll start work on our live show and then start gigging.
What you must do when writing your music is work out who you want your target audience to be. You may like all kinds of genres of music but generally when people turn to your band they will expect your sound and you’ve got to deliver it to them. There’s nothing wrong with being able to put your band into a category that people will look for. If you class yourself as heavy rock then that’s good as people that like heavy rock music will be more likely to find you.
As you start to finish up writing your songs and start working on your live set I believe it is a great time to start working on your band website. I would absolutely recommend purchasing the dot co dot uk or dot com domain of your band’s name. I would even go as far as to name the band specifically so you can get the web address you want. If someone tries to find your band online they’re bound to type in yourbandname dot com and so ideally you want them to find you.
Once you’ve bought your domain there are a few different ways to get a good band website together. One is to hand build it yourself. It can be quite difficult to do, but gives you complete creative control over the look and content of the site. If none of you can build your site then ask around your friends, maybe one is a budding web designer and wants to add to their portfolio.
Failing this you can choose one of the free blog software sites such as WordPress or Blogger and build your band website as a blog. The advantage of this is that you can post news as new blog posts and you can have the band all contribute here and there. It requires no real knowledge of web design and there are a bunch of great templates for you to use. You can integrate band pictures and add extra pages to your blog site to make it into a great website. Your fans can comment on news posts and you can build a great rapport with them this way. I would actually recommend starting a site like this for your band, if only for the community aspect of it.
If you choose to use blogging software then make sure you write regular updates for your site. You can even write articles about music that is similar to your own. By doing this you will gain a reader base quite quickly, and they’re much more likely to try your music if they like your articles. By writing regularly you’re helping your page ranking in Google. It is quite important for you to rank highly for your band name in Google, as that is the first place people will go when trying to find you. You can litter your posts with keywords so that when people search for you, they get you and not anyone else.
For tips on writing for Google then try searching the web for search engine optimisation (SEO) tips. It is quite a complex topic and you probably won’t need to fully understand it, but certainly a grip on keywords and page ranking will help you when promoting your band online.
So you’ve got your band website up, you’ve got some articles written, maybe about favourite bands or gigs and you’ve started to attract some visitors. Hopefully you’re highly ranked in Google for your band name as well. You’ll want to put up some of your music so people can actually hear you. You can upload mp3s of your songs to your own site as well as many others. When uploading I would honestly recommend giving away your music for free. With the huge wealth of quality music available online if you charge for your music then people just won’t give it a try. At this stage you’re trying to create a following and a fanbase so free music really is the key.
Once you’ve uploaded your mp3s to your own site then it’s best to get moving onto social networking to really help push your band. Social networking has taken the net by storm and now almost everyone is a member of at least one social networking site. They’re fantastic tools to promote your music and can really help you reach people you never would have otherwise. The first stop you should make is MySpace. Set up your profile there and upload some songs for people to listen to. There are fantastic tools there to help push new music so make sure you make the most of them.
Facebook is the most widely used social networking site and there are actually some really neat things you can do with it to help your band out. There is a great application available on Facebook called Facebook Flyers. What this does is enable you to place and ad for your band at the side of people’s profiles. The key here is that you can tailor the ad to your sound so it will only appear on people whose taste matches your band. It is a great tool for your band. You should also set up a Facebook group for your band and add everyone you know to it. This way people can discuss your band and will get notification of when you’re playing and access to all kinds of pictures and information.
Your band should also take the time to record a video and upload it to YouTube. It is just another place you can go to promote your music online. There are a couple of ways to go about making a classic YouTube video. One is to do a fairly serious music video like you would see on MTV. Another is to try to create a video that will generate it’s own buzz and get loads and loads of views purely based on the content of the video. Aussie rock band Sick Puppies used this method of viral marketing to great effect with their ‘Free Hugs’ video. They filmed a guy going round town giving out free hugs with their song playing in the background. The video has been viewed over 19 million times and the band are now signed and on tour with Evanescence.
This just goes to show the power that great Internet marketing can have for your band, and the great thing is that you can do it all yourself easily. The web really has opened up marketing opportunities for emerging musicians but always remember that you’ll only get out of it what you put in. No-one is interested in you to start with, you have to make them interested. Good luck, and above all remember to write great songs. Without great songs all the marketing in the world can’t help you!
